about
We met Anselmus aka Michel beginning of this year and we were delighted from the first time that we heard the track that he made for us. The english translation of Ate Omakiyayo is "Let live or let us live" and its the sound sample of an indigenous tribe in south America. The purpose of this sound sample was a healing track and for Michel the process of making the track was the same. The E-Guitar parts that he played himself represent his own emotions in this process. Life is a rollercoaster of emotions with ups and downs that you find reflected in the song. He dedicates the track to his sister Lea, therefore also the cover of the two of them hugging.
A story and a journey from beginning to end, like the other comps in the series. Luscious detail with gentle pacing to be savoured with fine headphones. Angel Figueroa
Moody electronic music that explores the idea of identity, the latest LP from viñu-vinu is a stark and beautiful work. Bandcamp New & Notable May 3, 2021
